Who we Are

The Circle of Hope is a local Methuen Support Organization who's mission is to raise awareness and educate others about the disease of addiction. We support family and friends who have loved ones suffering from this deadly disease whether they are active or in recovery. The first thing that you need know is that you are not alone! There is hope for the addict as well as hope for us.We are not the cure, we are not the magic pill that will make it all go away, we are simply here to support you in any way we can.
The Circle of Hope is like family. We laugh and cry together while discussing our experiences. We support each other by any means possible. Our unique approach allows members not only to discuss their own issues but offer any suggestions that may have helped them in the past. We try to clearly define the difference between supporting an addict and enabling an addict. When you have a loved one suffering from addiction, it is sometime difficult to tell the difference.
Coming to a support group for the first time is probably one of the hardest things to do. Many people feel ashamed and embarrassed about the situation they are in. They may be afraid that they will meet someone they know. Take that first step, come and meet us. There are no forms to fill out, no surveys to complete, no personal information is required. What happens at our meetings, stays at our meetings.
If you are not local and cannot personally attend, please feel free to register on our forums and participate in the discussions.
For more information on attending one of our local meetings, please contact Phil Lahey @ 978 886-2949
Please check out The Empty Chair Show which is a series of videos hosted by Phil Lahey and his daughter Colleen
covering various subjects regarding addiction. You may find these very informative.
